****Celebrities examples are all sun sign placements, but description would be more for rising+sun.
đSagittarius placements always have cat eyes and really luscious lips đ theyâre like the siren đš personified xxx I personally think theyâre some of the most beautiful people that have graced the earth- so sensual, so sessy. ex: Zoe Kravitz, Scarlett Johansson, Alexa Demie, Lucy Liu, Jane Birkin, Brad Pitt, Gemma Chan,
đCancer placements âŠyâall are SO ethereally beautiful, like what ? You all look like fallen angels: full, round face, soft eyes and perfectly pouty lips. So angelic, so divine đŒnot stereotyping but yâall do look a little moony lol đ ex: Margot Robbie, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Kali Uchis, Hoyeon Jung, Lana Del Rey, Hope Sandoval,
đTaurus placements..your bone structure is insane. This oneâs obvious because Taurus is ruled by the planet of beauty, Venus, but thereâs this grace and goddess/god like energy of Taurus placements. Earth mama/daddy energy. đđNurturing, grounding peaceful. đex: Gigi Hadid, Robert Pattinson, George Clooney, Cate Blanchett, Travis Scott, Megan Fox, Machine Gun Kelly, Penelope Cruz
đGemini placements: thereâs this untouchable kinda beauty to yâall. Almost like youâre not from this planet. Eternal youthfulness (Mercury ruled yâall) feminine yet masculine at the same time or vice versa. đ§ââïžVery gender fluid. Mischievous look in ur eyes. Deep set eyes that have perma Smokey eye filter. Smaller frame ex: Angelina Jolie, Natalie Portman, Lily Rose Depp and Johnny Depp, Tom Holland, Princess Nokia, Emma Chamberlain, Emily Ratajkowski, Stevie Nicks, Naomi Campbell
đCapricorn placements..this oneâs personal because I have many caprisun placements, but everyone always says I have great bone structure. I see that in a lot of Capricorn celebrities. Great smiles (Capricorn rules the teeth), oddly goat đ like but in the best way possible. Beautiful skin and usually blessed with great hair as well. Actually really ageless, no joke, we ages backwards I swearâŠa little elf like đȘđ§ââïž ex: my boy Timothee Chalamet, Suki Waterhouse, FKA Twigs, Kate Moss, Hunter Schafer, Jared Leto, Francois Hardy, Florence Pugh
đScorpio placements: for real, yâall are so frickin sexy. Like damn.. you got those bedroom eyes and killer smile. Even if theyâre not traditionally handsome (like Libras lol) thereâs always something about Scorpio placements that draws you to them magnetically. Hypnotizing. Also thereâs a kinda vampire đ§ââïž vibe to them ngl. ex: Ryan Gosling, Leo DiCaprio, Travis Barker, Adam Driver, Winona Ryder, WILLOW, Joaquin Phoenix, Drake
đPisces placements: otherworldly beauty, like so so dreamy. They have that âdream girlâ âdream guyâ aura to them. Enchanting, intoxicating. đźNeptune rules Pisces and there is a undeniable fantastical quality to yâall. The kinda peeps that you canât really take your eyes off of. Old soul energy with deep kindness in their eyes. Mermaid/merman energy đ§ââïžđ§ ex: Rihanna, Bad Bunny, Ansel Elgort, Olivia Wilde, Liz Taylor, Lupita NyungâO, Drew Barrymore, Erykah Badu, Kurt Russell
đLibra placements : I always tell people that Libras are gods favorite. They got the charm+ the looks+the artistic talent. đSheesh đ Thereâs a kinda sweetness to their looks, yet you know theyâre hiding something from you. Itâs the same trickster energy as Gemini. If you were to create the perfectly balanced âïžhuman face, it would be on a Libra for sure. ex: Kim K, A$AP Rocky, Doja Cat, Brigitte Bardot, Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg, Dakota Johnson
đLeo placements: thereâs def a cat like energy to yâall- cat eyes, cat nose- just the way you carry yourself is regal đž youâre royalty and you know it. Big messy beautiful hair and even bigger luminous smiles. Your aura is like a big ball of light. Super star đ quality. ex: Madonna, J Lo, Austin Butler, Jason Momoa, Chris Hemsworth, Mila Kunis, Cara Delevingne, Obama, Charlize Theron
đAquarius placements: Def something really striking about yâall, itâs like a beauty you canât describe in words. đTend to be quite slender in frame. Badass energy. đIntimidating, yet warm. Contradicting to a T and thatâs Uranian energy for you. ex: Harry Styles, Emma Roberts, Christian Bale, The Weeknd, Kid Cudi, Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion, Shakira, Paris Hilton
đAries placements: thereâs a childlike đ¶đ»đ¶đ»innocence to your look, yet because of the Martian influence there is a fiery đ„quality to ur looks and aura. Super sexy, yet looks like you wouldnât hurt a fly. Smaller frame usually ex: Emma Watson, Paul Rudd, Kristen Stewart, Saoirse Ronan, Lady Gaga, Kiera Knightly, Pharrell
đVirgo placements: Virgo is the virginđ§ââïž maiden, and earthy energy of Mercury. There is a youthful quality to Virgo placements, just like Gemini, but itâs more feminine and soft in nature because Virgo is a feminine sign. Yâall have this wisdom in your eyes, like you see all the worlds hurts. Kind, gentle, yet a hidden sexiness to yâall. The kinda peeps who look innocent on the outside but u know thereâs something quite tempting about them. đSmaller frame usually ex: Keanu Reeves, Salma Hayek, Zendaya, BeyoncĂ©, Blake Lively, Tom Hardy, Idris Elba, Sydney Sweeny
Thatâs all yâall đ thanks for reading đ

Star, January 11
You can buy a copy of this issue for your very own at my eBay store: https://www.ebay.com/str/bradentonbooks
Cover Story: Hollywoodâs Best and Worst BossesÂ
Page 1: Shia LaBeouf currently accused of relentless abuse and sexual battery by his ex FKA Twigs was snapped making out with Margaret Qualley after she arrived at LAX for a solid 10 minutes and holding up traffic -- the PDA session was the first time Shia and Margaret who is the daughter of Andie MacDowell were spotted out in public together but the two got well-acquainted a few months ago rolling around naked for a NSFW music video for a song by the actressâ sister Rainey Qualley a.k.a. Rainsford -- Shia went out of his way to charm Margaret as soon as they met and he wooed her with compliments and gifts and flowers and texts and spur-of-the-moment dates where heâd just show up at her house but her friends are concerned because Twigsâ lawsuit against Shia alleges multiple incidents of abuse including choking her in her sleep and knowingly giving her a sexually transmitted disease -- Shia said many of those allegations are not true and he is in a 12-step program and therapy for PTSD and alcoholism
Page 2: Contents, Prince William and Duchess Kate with kids Prince George and Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis for a Christmas cardÂ
Page 3: Candice Swanepoel in a bathing suit in Miami, Jennifer Garner stepped out to run errands in a mask and an expressive sweater in L.A., Ryan Reynolds cuddled up with a puppy to encourage his Instagram followers to donate to the SickKids FoundationÂ
Page 4: Friends of Johnny Depp are keeping their distance as he gears up for another ugly defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard -- after losing the case against a U.K. newspaper that called him a wife beater and a scathing feature in The Hollywood Reporter that dubbed the star radioactive and his career all but dead, former pals want nothing to do with him -- the likes of Jude Law, Leonardo DiCaprio and Channing Tatum have been backpeddling on Johnny and itâs making him furious but to be fair Johnny had already alienated Leo and Channing by calling them Pumpkin Head and Potato Head and accusing them of having affairs with Amber -- Judeâs indifference cuts the deepest because for a time he and Johnny were brothers-in-arms as they filmed the second Fantastic Beasts movie and from Johnnyâs perspective Jude hasnât lifted a finger to defend himÂ
Page 5: Mossimo Giannulliâs son is speaking out claiming the fashion designer is being treated harshly at Californiaâs Federal Correctional Institution in Lompoc and Gianni Giannulli took to social media to complain that because of the pandemic his dad has been locked in solitary confinement for one full month and is only let out every three days for a few moments to shower and Gianni, Mossimoâs son from an earlier relationship, is irate that his father is being mistreated and he feels sorry for his dad and doesnât want to see him languishing in prison however his half sisters Bela and Olivia Jade donât seem too bothered by it
* At age 74 Susan Sarandon has had it with men -- she said she hasnât really had a large dating career and in fact hasnât had a guy in five years and itâs not that she canât get a man, itâs just that the men she attracts are losers or sub-par in some way -- she is happy hanging out in her NYC apartment but still friends canât help trying to fix her up because sheâs attractive and in phenomenal shape but the problem is she scares guys away; sheâs a force they canât handleÂ
* Two years after sharing her shock diagnosis with multiple sclerosis Selma Blair is struggling with pain and fear -- she was recently spotted getting emotional outside a West Hollywood cannabis shop and she has turned to medical marijuana to soothe symptoms of the chronic immune-system disorder which can include fatigue, spasticity, walking issues, numbness, weakness, vision issues and pain -- on some days she canât even get out of bed but sheâs trying to stay strong for her son Arthur and smile more for him but itâs been hardÂ
Page 6: Julianne Hough appears to be sweetness and light but sheâs a heartbreaker according to her ex Chuck Wicks who split from Julianne in 2009 -- in a revealing podcast Chuck blasted Julianne saying they were both loving life then out of nowhere you find out that they are not the person you thought they were and you break up -- Chuck admitted that he and Julianne agreed to say their split was amicable but it wasnât fine and it wasnât his fault
* After holing up at his Oklahoma spread Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are having a blast decorating their 13,000-square-foot $13.2 million new home in the Encino area of Californiaâs San Fernando Valley -- the home sits on 1.6 ultra-private acres behind double gates and extensive walls and features a pool and fabulous views -- inside the engaged pair give each other space: Gwen wants a dance studio and Blake gets his own man-cave with a big screen and high-tech surround soundÂ
* Star Spots the Stars -- Nicky Hilton, Katharine McPhee Foster, Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt making dairy-free and plant-based holiday appetizers, Jenna Dewan, Natalia Dyer
Page 8: Big Losers -- these stars shed pounds and got healthy in 2020 -- Jessica Simpson, Rebel Wilson, Kelly OsbourneÂ
Page 10: Star Shots -- Gwen Stefani on the way to the recording studio in Santa Monica, Jerry OâConnell started his morning off with a fresh mimosa and a kiss from one of his dogs, Jodie Turner-Smith is the first Black actress to play Henry VIIIâs ill-fated queen Anne Boleyn in a major U.K. TV series in Emley, UKÂ
Page 11: Nick Cannon pitched in to help distribute 2000 free meal boxes to the Hollywood Food Coalition
Page 12: Demi Moore in a yellow bow for a selfie thanking readers for checking out her memoir, Paris Hilton kicked back for a Coach campaign reintroducing the early-2000s ubiquitous Swinger bag
Page 13: Derek Hough and his dogs Romie and Luna, Irina Shayk striking a poseÂ
Page 14: Sofia Vergara during a photoshoot, Real Housewives of New York City alum Kristen Taekman is taking advantage of the California winter weather in a bikini in Malibu, Wells Adams takes out the trash in L.A.Â
Page 16: Carrie Underwood showed off her comfy at-home style, Vanessa Hudgens and her favorite condiment, Katherine Schwarzenegger celebrates her dogâs birthdayÂ
Page 17: Vanderpump Rules star Tom Sandoval picked up a holiday-themed centerpiece ahead of Christmas in L.A., Katie Holmes slung a guitar over her shoulder in NYC, Dame Joan Collins dropped by The Jonathan Ross Show in LondonÂ
Page 18: Normal or Not? Hailey Baldwin shares a glimpse into her beauty routine -- normal, Tiger Woodsâ son Charlie showed off his skills ahead of the PNC Championship -- normalÂ
Page 19: Pete Wentz playing tennis in L.A. -- normal, Pete Davidson hurt himself a few times while making a scarf -- not normalÂ
Page 20: Fashion -- stars charm in romantic ruffles -- Keke Palmer, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lupita NyongâoÂ
Page 21: Kirsten Dunst, HalseyÂ
Page 24: Ariana Grande announced her engagement to realtor Dalton Gomez with some celebratory shots and sheâs telling everyone how she never thought it was possible to be this happy -- the couple began dating in early 2020 when Dalton helped Ariana find a home in L.A. and things hit the fast track amid the health pandemic which saw the two enjoying quality time together in lockdown and realizing they were a perfect fit because they never fight and are totally in sync about how they look at life -- Ariana went straight into wedding mode already deciding on an intimate outdoor setting in mid-2021
Page 25: Jon Hamm stepped out in L.A. recently with girlfriend Anna Osceola and she was showing off a noticeably rounder midsection and thereâs a good chance the two are pregnant because theyâve been actively trying to get into the family way -- though Jon admitted in 2016 that having children isnât necessarily an imperative Jon may have changed his tune after his year-long relationship with Anna and hitting the big 5-0 in March has him reassessing his life and now having a child has become important to himÂ
* Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher will be camping in style now that theyâve purchased a $140K Mercedes Benz Sprinter and theyâre preparing to embark on an adventure -- with sleeping accommodations for four and a kitchen the spacious luxury vehicle is perfect for the couple and their two kids -- other stars can spend their vacations in five-star resorts but Mila and Ashton prefer to keep things alfresco and itâs a tradition theyâve kept all these years; this is their idea of a perfectly fun vacation
Page 26: Cover Story -- Hollywoodâs Best and Worst Bosses -- whoâs great to work for and who makes employeesâ lives a misery -- Jennifer Hudson -- best
Page 27: Jennifer Lopez -- worst, Rihanna -- best, Kenny Chesney -- best, Mariah Carey -- worst, Gwyneth Paltrow -- worstÂ
Page 28: Keanu Reeves -- best, Sandra Bullock -- best, Emma Watson -- worstÂ
Page 29: George Clooney -- best, Ellen DeGeneres -- worst, Guess the Bad BossÂ
Page 30: Tom Cruise and Hayley Atwell: Man on a Mission -- amid all the tension on the set of Mission: Impossible 7 Tom has been pursuing his costar Hayley to be his next girlfriend and it seems to be working -- Tom has become very active with the U.K. Scientology Branch and is very taken with English women like Hayley and heâd like to make the U.K. his home base -- handcuffed to each other for several scenes in M:I7 Hayley and Tom were also spotted holding hands when the cameras werenât rollingÂ
Page 32: Prince Harry and Meghan Markleâs very L.A. Christmas -- the prince spends the holidays 5000 miles away from the royal family but Meghanâs mom Doria Ragland was on hand for the festivities -- the couple were intending to call Queen Elizabeth on Christmas morning otherwise they were happy to celebrate a low-key holidayÂ
Page 38: EntertainmentÂ
Page 48: Parting Shot -- Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas suited up to hit the slopes stopping by a local store to pick up goodies before changing into warmer gear in Mammoth Lakes in California -- the couple are familiar faces in the ski town and looking forward they will be able to plan even more snowy getaways now that theyâve listed their NYC apartment for $5.9 million and moved full-time to EncinoÂ

BMI Latin Awards 2019

THE TASK - scroll down for FCâs!

12 Years a Slave, digital artivism
The movie 12 Years a Slave is set back in time before the Civil War. The movie tells a story of Solomon Northup, a free black man from upstate New York, who is kidnapped and sold into slavery in the South. Solomon is subject to cruel slave owners, kindness from fellow slaves, and struggling to maintain some of who he is while staying alive. He spends 12 years as a slave in horrid conditions and he manages to find his freedom again with the help of a friend. This movie was directed by Steve McQueen, who was known, before this movie was released, for his real life displays of crisis throughout our history and time in films. I selected this movie for its harsh visuals of real-life racism and stereotypes. After we spent the past week learning about what digital artivism is, I think this morning is exactly that. Steve McQueen used those harsh visuals, that were so realistic I couldnât watch at times, and used them to represent what slavery was and how few people survived and all the other terrifying aspects of it. Those visuals give the audience a chance to feel the pain, hear the stories, and understand the past through the lens of a slave himself. Based on the fact that it is a true story, makes it that much more real and traumatizing to think about. Similar to Judy Baca and her digital artivism, 12 Years a Slave uses a mixture of race and gender to show the disparities overlapping during this period in history. The digital artivism shown in the movie is between a fellow slave of Soloman, Patsey (Lupita Nyong'o), her story as a black enslaved woman in the movie opens a whole new door to how Intersectionalities played a role during this time in history. This is digital artivism through the story that she represents. By seeing her story from an inner angle, we can see how this film creates new angles to challenge oppressive modes of thinking which links together multidimensional lives through an overarching problem (Latorre and Sandoval, 2008, pg. 83). Patsey, as a woman, is facing not only the sexual abuse from her owner, but the abuse from the ownerâs wife as well. This opens up the conversation about how domestic spaces was created by slavery. This problem raised due to black and white women living in close proximity, with jealousy, violence, and sexual abuse part of everyday life. In the movie, a particular scene of jealousy stands out when the wife of the owner gave baked goods to all the slaves except Patsey to punish her for sleeping with her husband. The ownerâs wife felt the need to put Patsey through endless amount of psychological and physical abuse due to the fact that she was being raped by her owner and didnât resist so that she could stay alive. A cycle that was never going to be on the victimâs side.

Black Panther: Examining Interracial Power
Black Panther is a movie set in the fictional African country of Wakanda, a land long hidden from outsiders but quite rich with vibranium, an extremely powerful metal which fuels great internal technological advancements. The film follows the new king, TâChalla (Chadwick Boseman), a humble young royal in possession of the powers of the Black Panther who takes the throne after the unexpected death of his father. Acting as antagonist is Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan), nephew of the former king who was left behind in America as a child after his father committed crimes against Wakanda. After seeing the suffering Black people endure in the real world, he wishes to claim the throne and use Wakandaâs hidden abundance of vibranium to arm Blacks all over the world and empower them to overthrow their oppressors. Killmongerâs appearance prompts TâChalla to reconsider his inherited power, and he comes to realize that Wakandaâs strength should be used to aid the rest of the world and promote peace. Black Panther is indeed an examination of the use of power, particularly considering violent versus peaceful tactics in combating historical discrimination.
In the film, Killmonger represents the lust of a victimized people for revenge. He recognizes the history of oppression of Black people in America through slavery, unfair incarceration by police, and assassinations. We know this isnât isolated to Blacks; Takaki discusses how through history similar techniques were applied to cage in many American minorities: Blacks, Indians, Chinese-Americans, and Mexican-Americans, and render them as pawns in the hands of White supremacists. With a Malcolm X-like philosophy, Killmongerâs solution is to arm his people using vibranium weapons and encourage retaliation. This is the movieâs antagonist idea. TâChalla chastises Killmonger, âYou have become [your enemies],â arguing that the solution to violence is not a violent uprising; this simply creates new oppressors and even more of the oppressed. No social problem may be fully reconciled in this way.
TâChalla contrasts Killmonger as an embodiment of peace and humility. He expresses belief that those with the capability to save people should do so, shown in his choosing to bring the ailing White CIA Agent Ross to Wakanda to heal him, despite the inherent breach in security. This is a great display of interracial compassion, one that reveals TâChallaâs nature as humane and unoccupied by Killmongerâs antagonize-the-oppressor philosophy. The Dr. King to Killmongerâs Malcolm X, TâChalla throughout the movie comes to adopt a non-violent position of utilizing Wakandaâs power and technology for good around the world through establishing outreach programs to provide opportunity to the oppressed. This brings to mind Judy Baca, who also utilizes the powerful double-edged resource of modern technology within her mural lab to give voices to the underprivileged and promote multicultural acceptance. Like her, TâChalla desires to use his power to promote peace among all. He closes Black Panther stating that the people of the world must act âas if we were one single tribe.â In working with modern real-world cultural divisions, this method may be revolutionary.

Watch 20 Oscar-winning actresses in music videos
Hale Berry and Fred Durst in âBehind Blue Eyesâ (Photo: YouTube)
Sure, we all know Angelina Jolie won an Oscar for Girl, Interrupted, or that Halle Berry made history Oscar history when she became the first African American to win a Best Actress trophy (for Monsterâs Ball). But did you know that Angelina and Halle respectively starred in videos by⊠Meat Loaf and Limp Bizkit?
In honor of this weekendâs Academy Awards, hereâs a look back at 20 music video cameos by Oscar-winning actresses. For some, these videos were career stepping-stones, or mere detours; for others, they were career lows. But all of them are recommended viewing.
20. Mecano, âLa Fuerza del Destinoâ
No one could have predicted when 15-year-old Penelope made her acting debut, in this 1989 Spanish pop video, that sheâd win a Best Supporting Actress Oscar 19 years later for her role in Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Incidentally, Mecano broke up in 1992.
youtube
19. Parachute, âThe Mess I Madeâ (starring Jennifer Lawrence, 2009)
Silver Linings Playbook Best Actress winner J.Law was a total unknown when she starred in the 2009 video by these Virginia pop-rockers. Parachute frontman Will Anderson later told TeenMusic.com: âShe was amazing⊠We could tell when we met her that she was going places. Here was this amazingly talented actress, and just an incredible person who also happened to be gorgeous. How could we not ask her to be in the video? Seeing her get nominated for the Oscar was amazing. No one deserves it more than her and itâs awesome to see her getting casted in such rad roles!â
youtube
18. Robbie Williams, âSomething Stupidâ (starring Nicole Kidman, 2001)
Robbieâs 2001 album of standards, Swing When Youâre Winning, featured duets with Rupert Everett, Jane Horrocks, and Jon Lovitz, but its centerpiece was this adorable collaboration with Nicole â whoâd win a Best Actress Oscar a year later for The Hours. Nicole held her own against the British pop star, which makes us wonder, when is her album coming out?
youtube
17. iRAWniQ, âALIENPU$â (starring Tatum OâNeal, 2014)
Tatum holds the record as the youngest thespian to win a competitive Oscar (she won the Best Supporting Actress award in 1973, at age 10, for her role in Paper Moon). The former child star has had her career ups and downs, but has continued to take on challenging roles. Case in point: this dazzling 2014 clip, in which she danced alongside an âalien Rosa Parksâ played by rapper iRAWniQ. Tatum even dissected the bizarre, JB Ghuman Jr.-directed video in a play-by-play article for Vice.
youtube
16. Roy Orbison, âI Drove All Nightâ (starring Jennifer Connelly, 1992)
This video starred not only the A Beautiful Mind Best Supporting Actress Oscar-winner, but also Beverly Hills, 90210 heartthrob Jason Priestley. Itâs a true â90s classic if there ever was one.
youtube
15. Dave Matthews Band, âDreamgirlâ (starring Julia Roberts, 2005)
The Erin Brockovich Oscar-winner and longtime DMB fan made her music video debut in this Alice in Wonderland-meets-Fringe clip; it was first acting job after giving birth to her twins. âI just need the work,â Julia joked to People magazine at the time of the videoâs release. Dave Matthews added, âWe thought weâd politely give her a hand up.â
youtube
14. Will Butler, âAnnaâ (2015)
Stone won an Oscar last year for the musical La La Land, but we think her casting may have been inspired by her star turn in this elegant Old Hollywood clip by the Arcade Fire multi-instrumentalist.
youtube
13. Massive Attack feat. Hope Sandoval, âThe Spoilsâ (starring Cate Blanchett, 2016)
The two-time Oscar-winner shapeshifted from gorgeously dewy SK-II skincare spokeswoman to freaky decomposing zombie robot in this disconcerting clip. Imagine SinĂ©ad OâConnorâs âNothing Compares 2 Uâ mashed up with Lou Reedâs âNo Money Downâ for some idea of this videoâs creepy impact. We need Blanchett to star in a horror flick!
youtube
12. Jenny Lewis, âOne of the Guysâ (starring Anne Hathaway and Brie Larson, 2014)
The former Rilo Kiley frontwoman convinced Les Miserablesâ Hathaway and Roomâs Larson (along with Kristen Stewart) to dress up in male drag for this colorful clip⊠but weâre more impressed by the Gram Parsons-inspired, red-carpet-worthy rainbow tuxedo that Jenny is wearing.
youtube
11. Limp Bizkit, âBehind Blue Eyesâ (starring Halle Berry, 2003)
Halle made some major career mistakes following her Best Actress win for 2001âs Monsterâs Ball. And making out onscreen with Fred Durst, in a video for a terrible Who cover from the Gothika soundtrack, may have been her most Razzie-worthy misstep â even if Durst, who directed the clip, told MTV it was âthe greatest kiss youâll ever see.â A decade later, this admittedly makes for fascinating viewing.
dailymotion
10. Renee Zellweger with Ewan McGregor, âHereâs to Loveâ (2003)
The Cold Mountain Best Supporting Actress winner showed off an entirely different side of herself in this playful ode to the great cinematic era of Doris Day and Rock Hudson, from the retro rom-com Down With Love. Hereâs to Renee!
youtube
9. Meat Loaf, âRock âNâ Roll Dreams Come Throughâ (starring Angelina Jolie, 1993)
The Girl, Interrupted Oscar-winner has also made appearances in music videos by the Rolling Stones, Lenny Kravitz, Korn, and the Lemonheads. But her most epic (and cinematic) music video appearance of all? The one in which she co-starred with Meat Loaf and played a teen runaway, of course!
youtube
8. The Rolling Stones, âLike a Rolling Stoneâ (starring Patricia Arquette, 1996)
Patricia won Best Supporting Actress honors for Boyhood and gave one of the most memorable acceptance speeches in years. Also memorable? Her harrowing depiction of a strung-out party girl in this Michel Gondry-directed, fisheye-lensed clip for the Stonesâ fantastic Dylan cover.
youtube
7. David Bowie, âThe Next Dayâ (starring Marion Cotillard, 2013)
Marion displayed her own musical chops portraying Edith Piaf in 2007âs La Vie en Rose, for which she won Best Actress honors. She has concurrently pursued a musical career, including an artsy collaboration with John Cameron Mitchell, Villaine, and Metronomyâs Joseph Mount titled âSnapshot of L.A.â But her best music video cameo was in this controversial, banned-from-YouTube Bowie clip, in which she played a stigmata-stricken prostitute cavorting in a church brothel with a wayward priest played by Gary Oldman. This video definitely deserved an R rating!
youtube
6. Tom Petty, âInto the Great Wide Openâ (starring Faye Dunaway, 1991)
The Network Oscar-winner joined an all-star cast that included Johnny Depp, Chynna Phillips, and, um, Richard Grieco to play an evil rock ânâ roll Svengali. It was clearly the role Faye was born to play. Just call this one Manager Dearest.
youtube
5. Devendra Banhart, âCarmensitaâ (starring Natalie Portman, 2007)
Back before she was a crazy Black Swan, Natalie was dancing in this crazy, Bollywood-inspired video by the eccentric singer-songwriter, who soon became her boyfriend. The relationship didnât last; maybe Natalie was jealous that Devendra almost looked as pretty in sparkly Bollywood makeup as she did. A pregnant Portman starred last year in James Blakeâs âMy Willing Heart.â
youtube
4. Brandon Flowers, âCrossfireâ (starring Charlize Theron, 2010)
This badass, action-packed video, in which the Monster actress rescued the Killers frontman from ninja kidnappers, was soooo much better than Aeon Flux.
youtube
3. Tom Petty, âMary Janeâs Last Danceâ (starring Kim Basigner, 1994)
Ah, the creepy âlove storyâ between a morgue assistant and the beautiful corpse girl of his dreams. Weâre still trying to decide who was the better actor here: Kim, or Tom himself.
youtube
2. Jay-Z, âMany Faced Godâ (starring Lupita Nyongâo, 2017)
The 12 Years a Slave Best Supporting Actress winner and Star Wars/Black Panther action heroine gave another awards-worthy tour de force performance in this stunning clip from 4:44.
youtube
1. David Bowie, âThe Stars Are Out Tonightâ (starring Tilda Swinton, 2013)
In a bit of inspired casting on the part of director Floria Sigismondi, this video by the late Thin White Duke co-starred thin white duchess Tilda Swinton as his dutiful wife. For years, the uncanny resemblance between Bowie and the Oscar-winning actress had been noted by observers â so much so that an entire Tumblr site was devoted to their separated-at-birth similarity. In 2003, fashion photographer Craig McDean orchestrated a shoot with Tilda during which she dressed up as Bowie, and in 2012, Hint Fashion magazine even published a rather convincing compare-and-contrast blogpost titled âVisual Proof That David Bowie and Tilda Swinton Are the Same Person.â The fact that Bowie and Tilda appeared onscreen on the same time here refuted Hintâs theory, of course.
